Introducing faculties at Activate Learning

At Activate Learning, our mission is to transform lives through learning.
As a learning organisation we are constantly evolving to ensure that we offer learners a direct line of sight to employment.
We have launched an exciting faculty approach to curriculum delivery across the three Activate Learning colleges.
This will make the most of our scale and expertise and allow us to work more closely with employers in key industry sectors. Our vision is to work in partnership with employers to design learning programmes that develop relevant skills and behaviours and that make our learners the most employable.
By working more collaboratively across our group, we want to increase the impact of learning programmes and better meet skills needs across the region.
We have organised our learning programmes into eight faculties, which will operate across the Activate Learning colleges - Banbury and Bicester College, City of Oxford College and Reading College. These are:
  • A-levels and Businessincluding: business studies, management and retail, professional courses and travel and tourism; access to higher education, A-levels and science
  • Lifestyles - including hair and beauty, hospitality and catering, events and corporate entertainment, sports and leisure
